Hinge Lunatic

Roughly a week ago the left hinge of my Thinkpad T41 broke. This was the horizontal metal below the vertical rotating portion, where it attaches to the frame of the laptop. I learned some important lessons from this.
UPDATE!
18 hours later, my hinge seems to be solid again. Let's see if this lasts...
- Do not use superglue to attempt to glue metal together. It doesn't work.
- "Cold weld" steel epoxy might work, if you didn't screw it up by first coating all surfaces with superglue.
- Normally you can't get steel epoxy off after a failed attempt, except if you have a thin layer of superglue coating all surfaces below it...
- This steel epoxy stuff is pretty cool. I wish I learned about it sooner.
- Fussing with broken hardware is a huge waste of time.
